INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Thomas More University has been chosen by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to host the first and second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament March 1 and 2 at the Connor Convocation Center.
Thomas More will be hosting Saint Vincent College, Trine University and Emory University. Trine and Emory will play in the first game at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and the Saints and Saint Vincent will play at 7:30 p.m., with the two winners playing on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. for the right to advance to the sectionals.
The top-ranked Saints (27-0) earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament and won the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) Tournament
The Saint Vincent Bearcats (23-4) won the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship to earn the Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The seventh-ranked Trine University Thunder (25-2) won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship to earn the Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Emory University Eagles (19-6) earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after finishing third in the University Athletic Association.
