Pair of Slugs Picked For Cross Country Honors

Ashley Baudin and Paul Colosi of UC Santa Cruz have been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association Cross Country Athletes of the Week.

Baudin, a first-year runner from Pleasanton, CA (Amador Valley HS), clocked a time of 14:32.0 over a 3900-meter course at the Live In Louisville Silver race. She finished 42nd out of a field of 254 competitors. The race was shortened from a scheduled 6K distance due to a technical issue.

Colosi, a senior from Corralitos, CA (St. Francis HS), finished 23rd out of 279 runners at the Live In Louisville Silver race. He covered the 8K course in 24:56.3 for his second sub-25 minute effort of the year. In the biggest field ran against so far, Colosi set the pace on a course that will host the National Championship in a month.
