Madison Temple and Brandon Horne of Thomas More have been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball Players of the Week.
Temple, a senior guard from Cincinnati, OH (Anderson HS), became the Saints' all-time leading scorer and helped lead the second-ranked Saints to a 3-0 record last week with wins over Franklin College, #21-ranked DePauw University and Centre College. She averaged 25.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while dishing out 15 assists, blocking two shots and recording seven steals. With 1:25 to play in the third quarter against Franklin, Temple made a lay-up and set the Thomas More career scoring record and now has 1,847 career points.
Horne, a senior guard from Louisville, KY (Male HS) helped lead the Saints to a 2-0 record at the University of Mount Union Holiday Classic last week as they defeated Adrian College and Trine University. He led the team in scoring and rebounding with 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Horne also had three steals and two assists as he shot 75.0 percent from the field (18-of-24).
