Temple and Underwood Crowned Players of the Week

Madison Temple of Thomas More and Dylan Underwood of Finlandia have been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball Players of the Week.

Temple, a senior guard from Cincinnati, OH (Anderson HS), helped lead the third-ranked Saints to a 2-0 record and the championship at the Post-Exam Jam hosted by Hope College last week. She averaged a double-double with 20.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game as she dished out a team-best 12 assists and three steals. In the win over 19th-ranked Baldwin Wallace, Temple had 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. She followed that up with 15 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists and one steal against second-ranked Hope. Temple was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Post-Exam Jam.

Underwood, a sophomore guard from Michigan City, IN (South Bend Clay HS) had a strong all-around game against Wisconsin-Stout. He had 16 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and five steals against the Blue Devils.
