The University of Valley Forge received a bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship as announced by the NCAA Monday. The Patriots (15-8) received the Pool C at-large bid and will face Randolph Macon (22-5), the Old Dominion Athletic Conference champion, on Friday at 7 p.m. ET in Ashland, VA. UVF is the first team in ACAA history to advance to a NCAA Championship in any sport.
"Congratulations to Coach LeVan and the Patriots for making the NCAA field," said Dr. Kelly Higgins, ACAA Commissioner. "We are very proud of them and are excited to see them represent the ACAA in the tournament. They are great representatives for UVF and of the conference, and we wish them the best of luck."

The Patriots captured the American Collegiate Athletic Association championship with a 73-67 win over Pine Manor on Sunday. The Patriots feature All-ACAA First Team and Defensive Player of the Year honoree Jhanel Brown and All-ACAA Second Team player Natalie Cortes.
