Robb Munro of SUNY Delhi and Steve Paternostro of Alfred State have been named the ACAA Cross Country Coaches of the Year. The awards were voted on by their peers.
Munro, the men's honoree, led the Broncos to their second straight ACAA Men's Cross Country Championship on October 27 with a dominating 17-point performance. Nine of the first 10 finishers were SUNY Delhi runners including the top three runners. The men's team also captured the USCAA National Championship where Munro was named the National Coach of the Year. SUNY Delhi runner Kobie Lane repeated the ACAA men's individual champion and the USCAA national champion. Munro also led the Bronco women's team to the ACAA Women's Cross Country Championship.
Paternostro, the honoree on the women's side, led the Pioneers to a second-place finish at the ACAA Women's Cross Country Championships where the Pioneers fell a heart-breaking one point short of SUNY Delhi for the championship. Pioneer freshman Julia Russell captured the ACAA women's championship while Veronica Dailey finished third.
