Samiaya Salley of SUNY Delhi and Dante Jordan of Alfred State have been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball Players of the Week.
Salley, a junior guard from Highland Falls, NY (James I. O'Neill HS), averaged 20.0 points, 6.3 steals and 5.7 rebounds per game in a trio of Bronco wins. She shot 39.7% (25-63) from the field. SUNY Delhi defeated SUNY Canton 66-54, Valley Forge 80-76 and Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences 65-57.
Jordan, a senior forward from New York NY (Law and Public Service HS), led the Pioneers with 17 points per game in a 2-1 week for Alfred State. He scored 15 vs. Buffalo State, 10 vs. NYU, and had a monster game with 26 points and 13 rebounds vs. Medgar Evers. For the week Jordan shot 57.1% (20-35) from the field and averaged 7.7 rebounds per game.
