Madison Temple and Damion King of Thomas More have been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball Players of the Week.
Temple, a senior guard from Cincinnati, OH (Anderson HS), helped lead the fifth-ranked Saints to a 71-49 season opening road win over Wheaton (Ill.). She scored 24 points as she she shot 57.1 percent from the field (8-14) and 80 percent from the free-throw line (8-10). Temple also pulled down four rebounds, while recording seven steals and five assists.
King, a senior guard from Winchester, KY (George Rogers Clark HS) helped lead the Saints in their season opener against Emory & Henry. He led the team in scoring with 21 points as he shot 40 percent from the field (6-15) and 100 percent from the free-throw line (6-6). King also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds, while dishing out a team-best four assists.
