Player of the Week Awards Go To Wright and Sanchez

Rhylee Wright of UMaine-Presque Isle and Alex Sanchez of Valley Forge have been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball Players of the Week.

Wright, a sophomore forward from Frenchville, ME, returned to form this week after missing some time due to injury. In the Owls only action of the week, she tallied her eighth double-double of the season, and second time scoring 31-points (of the Owls' 48 points), tying a personal career best. Wright also continues to be a defensive presence for the Owls adding three blocks and two steals to her performance this week.

Sanchez, a senior guard from Orlando, FL (Faith Christian Academy), shot 56.4 percent (22-39) from the field and averaged 33 points per game as the Patriots split two games on the week, with their only loss coming in double overtime. He also tallied 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
